About The Loft

Experience the Loft at Studio J, an original space with warm, rustic-chic charm. Built in 1895, this building was renovated in 2013 to become The Loft at Studio J, one of the most unique, rustic and charming venues in Minnesota. The Loft at Studio J boasts 4,000 sq feet of event space and has a capacity to hold up to 300 guests. The venue is perfect for weddings and intimate functions.
The Loft at Studio J is located in the heart of beautiful downtown Stillwater, Minnesota. Prior to the renovation in 2013 the historic building was used as housing accommodations for lumberjacks in the logging industry. Historical relics from the early 1900s are present in the space today, making the venue a conversational piece among guests. The building is bursting with character and history yet it still represents the current amenities of the present. Clients have complete control over every detail of their event at The Loft.  The venue is versatile and functional with multiple spaces available including two VIP rooms.  Every celebration feels intimate as the space is customized to match the exact vision and needs of the client.
