WEDDING DAY TIMELINE 101

When planning your big day, one of the most important tasks is your day-of timeline! Aside from all of the other details that go into your wedding (decor, vendors, floor plans, photography, etc.) on the day itself you want a timeline that runs smoothly and efficiently. This may not be as fun as finalizing your menu, but it is needed to ensure a smooth and stress-free day! ​

​As photographers and venue, we want to make sure everything goes smoothly for you! We think timelines should be simple!  As photographers we know what a good timeline should be - we know how to pad your timeline and we know how to take photos efficiently too! Recently, we collaborated with our favorite wedding planners and together we created some awesome examples of great realistic timelines for your big day. 







WEDDING DAY TIMELINE EXAMPLE 1 
* FIRST LOOK + FORMALS ARE BEFORE CEREMONY
1:30 getting ready images
2:00 first glance and wedding party formals
2:45 family formals
3:30 break
4:00 ceremony (no receiving line afterward gets more creative time!)
4:30 bustle dress / cocktail hour / creative time for images
6:00 grand march and dinner
7:30 toasts
8:00 same day slideshow
8:30 dancing
9:30 photography departs
11:00 last call 
11:30 grand exit 
12:00 out of venue

In both of these examples there is plenty of time for padding and pushing back some things if necessary. We love that these timelines are built with the couple in mind (creative time!) yet also realistic with how long it will take to get through dinner too!
